People who have done their research on tattoo shops in Phoenix have pretty much all heard of Divinity Tattoo, which showed up on the scene back in 2002. One of the things that sets Divinity Tattoo apart from all of the other great studios in the area is the fact that they seem to love making custom tattoos, even allowing customers to send them all of the ideas they have so they can come up with some designs that they might like. They also take cleanliness very seriously, so that is not something that you will ever have to worry about with them.

Divinity Tattoo is a fantastic place to get a tattoo, but that does not mean that it is the right tattoo studio for everyone that wants to get inked in Phoenix. If you are looking to get a tattoo in the city, you will want to search around for a place that feels comfortable to you and has artists that you feel like you can trust. Most of the information that you will need for each one will be online, but you should at least go to the ones that you are most interested in so you can get a feel for the places before you commit your business to them. Do that extra bit of work and you should vastly improve your chances of ending up with a tattoo that you will always love having on your skin.

Instead of choosing where to get a tattoo by searching around for tattoo shops in Phoenix, you could instead simply find an artist that you like and find out where they work. This is a great idea if a lot of the artists in your area have online portfolios, which is definitely the case when it comes to Phoenix tattoo artists. Most of them show off their work in a bunch of different places, such as Instagram, Facebook, and even on their tattoo shops websites. Taking a look at their online portfolios will give you an idea of the types of styles they like and how consistent they are. Of course, you can also go right to the source by visiting the artists shops and taking a look through their physical portfolios.

A lot of people love the city of Phoenix, so it shouldnt come as too much of a surprise that there are a lot of folks that are interested in getting tattoos that show off their affection for the city. Whether your tattoo idea has something to do with the city or absolutely anything else, you will not have a tough time at all finding a tattoo artist in Phoenix who can do a great job on it for you.

Phoenix is the capital city of Arizona and is the seat of Maricopa county since 1871. Phoenix sits on the southern central part of the state and is about 120 miles from the border of Mexico. You can find Phoenix, AZ halfway between Los Angeles, California and El Paso, Texas. The Valley of the Sun, or the Salt River valley, is home to cities like Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale and Mesa. In the Mountain West region of the United States, there are many cities that play a more vital role to the economy than Phoenix. It serves as a communications, transportation and financial hub of the Mountain West. Phoenix spans 450 square miles and has a population of 1,321,000 as of 2000.

Phoenix: Character of the City

Phoenix is packed full of tree lined streets, surrounding mountains and architecture of the Spanish style. The city has a similar vibe to Los Angeles and just like Los Angeles, Phoenix is a city with many centers. From the Sky Harbor International Airport to the historic heart just west of the airport, Phoenix has grown to be a city made of a vast amount of land that goes from the volcanic mountains to the north to the Gila River far to the south and to the east where it runs into the vast desert valley. Phoenix is in a constant state of growth as many move there for the beautiful weather and millions come to visit for vacation and to get away.

Phoenix Landscape

You can find Phoenix at the convergence of the Salt and Gila rivers. It is positioned at very northern section of the Sonoran Desert and it has a dry natural zone and the saguaro cactus is the plant that is characteristic for the area. Just east of Phoenix you can find the Superstition Mountains which are a giant range of volcanic calderas that were formed over 305 million years ago. This mountain range has a high peak of around 3,000 feet. In the northeast you will find the Mazatzal Mountains and flowing to the west of this mountain range is the Verde River, which will end up going into the Salt River to the east of the city.

Phoenix sits in the broad valley which reaches out to the Colorado River and heads south to the northern mountains of Tucson. This is still the case, even though Phoenix doesnt reach those natural barriers. The metropolitan area, or Valley of the Sun, sits at 1,100 feet in elevation above sea level. The eastern and northern ends of the valley rise into the volcanic peaks that surround the area and the rest of the area is level terrain that is marred with small mountains that are volcanic made of schist and granite. The most prominent mountains in the area are Squaw Peak, South Mountain and Camelback Mountain. These mountains reach around 2,700 feet above sea level.

The soil that makes the desert is alkaline and the river water and water in local wells is saline which contains other minerals. Dried mineral deposits cover many of the irrigated areas in the spots surrounding Phoenix. The mineral deposits in the dirt reduce and accumulate the soils productivity. With all this being said, water is surprisingly plentiful, and this is surprising because Phoenix is in the middle of one of the driest places in the region. Phoenix sits in the valley that covers an underground sedimentary bowl and it is able to hold onto great amounts of groundwater. On the other hand, the parts holding all the water started to be depleted at a fast rate and Phoenix has come to depend heavily on the Colorado River through the Central Arizona Project. This is an artificial waterway that runs 336 miles and extends from Tucson to the Lake Havasu on the border of California. To help the lack of water, the underground water is run into the city from the areas outside of Phoenix. Prior to this, almost all of the water for the region was used for the purposes of agriculture and even though there is a bigger share of the water being used for municipal purposes.

Phoenix Climate

The city of Phoenix has a warm and dry climate that attracts a great deal of visitors during the winter months. The winter average temperature reaches about 70 degrees and the summers can reach highs of over 100 degrees. You would be hard pressed to find cloudy days as it is almost always sunny in Phoenix.

There is less that 8 inches of rain in a given year and it is usually divided equally between the summer and winter months. The monsoon season of summer sends any precipitation back into the atmosphere almost instantly by way of transpiration or evaporation.
