Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell on Tuesday announced plans to seek the governors approval to allow personal services such as hair salons, barbershops and tattoo parlors to resume Friday. In addition, if approved by Gov. David Ige, he would allow outdoor attractions such as the Honolulu Zoo, Sea Life Park and Kualoa Ranch to reopen as soon as Thursday, with proper modifications in place.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp sent an open plea to Trump on Tuesday to consider his state as an alternate site for the quadrennial convention, which is set to gather more than 2,500 delegates and thousands more guests, press and security officials.
